'Miners at Bissoe' is a story that links Bissoe Valley's Mining past with nature. It showcases the Ivy Mining Bee, a new species first discovered in 1993 and a new addition to the UK. This foreign species causes no concerns for native species and adds to the lively hum of the British countryside. It's interesting approach to solitary life makes the bee a great spectacle to witness in Autumn. With this film, I wanted to exhibit this amazing little bee in the hope that it may encourage people to go and see the species for themselves.
